A Photowalk all over Mumbai..
This is one of my photowalk in Mumbai starting from CST and winding it up at Marine drive.
I started my day by getting off on Chhatrapati Shivaji terminus CST a very popular and a very well connected railway station. CST is located in the heart of the city and it is well connected to all the parts of the country as well as the city..CST was declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the year 2004. Opposite CST is Brihanmumbai municipal corporation building..After clicking a few pictures there, I took a cab from CST and went to Gateway.
The distance between CST to Gateway is 13 km around 15 mins taxi ride and I reached the beautiful Gateway of India.
Gateway of India was built in 1911. During the British colonial rule in India. It was built to welcome King George V and Queen Mary to Mumbai. It’s been a tourist destination in Mumbai for many years now. Opposite this Beautiful Monument is the Magnificent Taj hotel. You can also take a ferry ride from the gateway and enjoy a panoramic view of Gateway and Taj.
After my Visit to the Gateway of India, I headed for The Asiatic Society of Mumbai. Which is at a distance of 1.4 km from Gateway 5 minutes in the bus and I reached The Asiatic Society of Mumbai
The Asiatic society of Mumbai is one of the most majestic and magnificent structures among the heritage buildings in the city of Mumbai. Bollywood movies like Munnabhai MBBS, Bluffmaster, Tezaab etc were shot in this location. It is opposite the Horniman circle. After 30 minutes or so at this location, I headed to Marine drive…
Marine Drive is one of the most romantic and the best place to relax after a hard day at college or work.
I wanted to click something different at Marine drive this time so I told my friend to stand against the sunlight so that I could completely darken her and could only see her shadow. And as a result, I was able to click some pretty good silhouette of her.. We passed our time at marine drive till the sun was down..And the Mumbai skyline was clear. Our wait definitely wasn’t a waste of time. The picture I could capture was simply spectacular.. Take a look for yourself.
After the most amazing photo walk, I returned to CST station to leave for Thane..When I reached the station I couldn’t stop gazing at the beauty of this building even at night…So I quickly removed my camera and tripod and clicked this final photo of the day..
I know I am no writer, but however while writing this post I tried my best to stir up the inner Salinger in me…I really hope you have liked my first attempt to write.
