Into the villages and towns of Himachal, Part 1.
This is your life, you decide what to do with it!
Traveling is the most important part of my life. The rush of exploring new places is far better than any other high. It gives me a new insight and compels me to look at things, life, people in a whole new light.
So, last week me and my friend visited Himachal Pradesh, What was so unique about Himachal Pradesh? Why Himachal Pradesh?
Well, Himachal is one of the rarest location where Indian families head for summer vacations. It is also one of the most popular honeymoon location in India!
The term Himachal Pradesh literally means “In the lap of the Himalayas”
Himachal welcomes you with its verdant valleys, Snow covered Mountains, beautiful landscapes, deep forests, gushing rivers and also one of the most dangerous and beautiful roads in India.
The regions in this state have an elevation of around 3000 to 7000 meters above sea level. The state is surrounded by Jammu & Kashmir in the north, Uttarakhand & Haryana in the south and Punjab in the west. It shares international borders with Tibetan autonomous region in the east.
To travel deep into the beautiful villages of Himachal, riding a bullet on one of the most dangerous roads in India, exploring the unexplored forests of Himachal, walking the road less taken, to travel deep into the woods etc. Gave me a new light on traveling…
You can either choose to be an adventurous traveler or settle for being a textbook tourist clicking a thousand selfies in the most touristy places.
It’s your decision whether you want to be a traveler or a tourist…
I’ll be posting the pictures of my trip in two separate posts.
